Bengals Trivia playoffs nfl?

I am trying to find out what year the Cincinnati Bengals almost went to the playoffs. In order to go to the playoffs we needed two teams to loss and the Bengals to win. I think one team that we needed to loss was the Denver Broncos. The season that it could have been is the 04, 05, 06, 07. If anyone can tell us the year that this happened it would be greatly appreciated.
