Have you had a Brazilian hair straightening procedure?

I have tight curls and am sick of using hair straighteners, so my hairdressers are urging me to try the new technique the Brazilian Straightening it takes 3 hrs to set and is �120 so not cheap by any means, and they said my hair would stay straight even after washing it for up to 3 mths and it doesnt damage hair shafts. well, I am tempted of course, sounds fab, but said I would research it on web and get some unbiased opinions so if you have already had this done, have you good or bad opinions on your results ? thanks !
