Should I take the PSAT?

So I'm a junior this year, and I'm taking the actual SAT on Oct 4th, next week, and I realized that the PSAT is on Oct 18, which is 2 weeks after. Normally, I would take the PSAT anyways, but I have a really important competition that day, and I was wondering if I should take the PSAT. I've been practicing for SAT all summer, so I don't really think i need more practice, and I highly doubt I'll get the national merit. Should I take it?
