My mom thinks I am turning into my brother.?

O.K. so I really like the band My Chemical Romance, but my mom thinks that I am turning into my brother who doesn't believe in God and listens to death metal. I am sure it doesn't help that I have read the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown which are awsome books but my mom says she has talked to her Avengelical Christian friends adn they say they would never touch those books. Any way my mom says that I am becoming a dfeath obsessed person and I don't know how to deal with it, what should I do?
