Problems building a computer.?

When modifying, building a computer I will Format Hard Drive first, FDISK, and have ready a legit copy of Windows 98 or XP or Windows 7 etc ready to install.. Then I have all driver Discs for all other hardware such as sound, video etc.. ready to install after operating system installed.
